Enthusiasts anticipating the release of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined won't have to wait much longer. A free-to-play demo version will become available on the seventh of January, providing a sizable glimpse into the game's opening hours. Notably, all progress made within this demo will be able to be imported directly into the complete game upon its February release.

This title constitutes a comprehensive reimagining of the seminal 2000 JRPG, first titled Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a distinct step away from other Dragon Quest remakes, such as the recently launched HD-2D iterations, this reimagining embraces a charming three-dimensional art style. Environments appear to resemble detailed dioramas, with party members sporting a appealing toy-like appearance.

• Adjustable Battle Pace: Players have the option to speed up battle sequences to rapidly power through less challenging fights.
• Expanded Vocation Mechanics: A completely new job class has been added for this reimagining. Additionally, party members now have the capacity to take on a secondary job, greatly expanding customization possibilities.

Such changes seek to mitigate a key the original title's most noted points of feedback: its daunting playtime. That original adventure could easily take more than 100 hours to complete. This reimagined edition was expressly designed to enhance flow and cut down on perceived filler.
