The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Season 3
Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
Netflix announced this week that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay possesses the power to transform into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the original manga and cartoon version.
This performer joins several other recently announced actors who will portray the organization to reality, featuring chief Mr. 0, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Even though this character is a key figure of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Given the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could indicate further changes to the story’s structure.
Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the character. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
