Nancy remains focused on the fact his team play well for one half at a time. In fact, if not for poor finishing they might have been greater than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit other than the fact that we missed more goals,” he said. “I accept that we lost, but I must remain balanced.

“The performance we had at times was of top quality. That happened. And I would not say that if it was not the case. That is the reason, when it comes to wins, I said this is the same story. Which is why I said that we are nearly there to getting it right. Right now: small things.”

“We produced plenty of positives that we did, once more. But now comes down to sustaining it. My narrative would change the same. Therefore I am a big believer we’re going to be able to get back on track.”

The Rangers Boss Outlook

Rangers manager was cautious about a serious challenge even after what felt like a statement victory. “One match at a time, then we can develop something here,” he said. “The faith in the group is outstanding.”
